Feed Systems

In most types of fish farming, feeding used to be a very labour intensive and time consuming job. Today, this job is easily done by the help of centralised feed systems that blow the feed directly from the feed silos to the fish.

The process is reliably and accurately controlled by a skilled feeding technician, using the feed system software, cameras, feed sensors, enviromental sensors and remote controls. The level of automation is decided by the operator.

The Akvasmart CCS feed systems are becoming the industry standard for feeding fish. Especially in the world's salmon industry, but also in the Sea Bass and Sea Bream industry in the Mediterranean. Our systems are also used to feed other Salmonids, Cod, Halibut, Turbot, Tilapia, Yellowtail, Red Fish, Eel and the list goes on.

Systems are installed either aboard floating feed barges, on docks or in machine rooms in land based operations.

All Akvasmart CCS feed systems are "FEED CARE CERTIFIED" in order to minimise feed dust and breakage as the pellets travel through the system on the way to your fish.
