This wireless sensor network is an important integrated part of the Akvasmart CCS feed system. The new CAP (Cage Access Point) has two-way data communication with the feed system and is an active part of AkvaControl. Up to two underwater video cameras can be connected to each unit, in addition to the built-in surface camera and camera winch. Important new features include more powerful transmitters, external channel selection, 360° adjustable surface camera and directional antennas. The CAP also allows for connection of temperature-, oxygen-, currentand doppler pellet sensors. Video and sensor data are transmitted by wireless from each cage to the base.

The CSU and CVU can be installed on steel- or plastic hand rails and transmit data from cameras and sensors.
Both the CSU and CVU have built-in surface cameras for monitoring fish surface activity and feed spread.
