What is your background?
I work as a QHSE Manager, including responsibility for HR, at Helgeland Plast. I hold a degree in chemical engineering and have 10 years of experience from the smelting industry, with responsibilities covering process management, environmental protection, and health & safety (Process Engineer at 7 Steel, Environmental Manager and HSE Manager at Elkem).
What motivates you in your role at AKVA group?
I am motivated by the opportunity and trust AKVA group has given me to apply my expertise and previous experience to contribute to improvements in these areas. Since HSE, HR, and Quality touch every part of the business, I also enjoy the daily collaboration with colleagues across functions, units, and locations.
What does a typical workday look like for you?
A typical day is varied, dynamic, and fast-paced. In an industry that is evolving rapidly, there are always new challenges to address and opportunities to seize. As HSE/HR and Quality Manager, I often support operational units in both preventive/planning stages and evaluation/corrective phases. This means my workplace is often outside the office, working closely with different departments.
