What is your background?
I hold a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Stavanger, with a specialization in strategy and management. I currently work as a Business Controller for Seabased Egersund at AKVA group, a role I have held for just over three years. Prior to this, I worked for several years as an auditor at PwC and later as a controller at Dalane Energi. I have also held the position of CFO and General Manager at a local car dealership in Egersund.
What motivates you in your role at AKVA group?
As a Business Controller in the Egersund companies, I’m involved in many different aspects of a fast-moving and dynamic operation. There’s always something happening, and no two days are the same. I enjoy the variety and thrive on ad hoc tasks. Another key motivation for me is working alongside engaged and competent colleagues who contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
What does a typical workday look like for you?
My workdays are filled with a range of tasks connected to several parts of the business. One of my key responsibilities each month is to ensure that reporting for all companies is completed according to schedule and deadlines. As part of a listed company, it’s critical that we meet deadlines and deliver accurate and reliable figures. My work includes reviewing reporting packages and the underlying financial data to ensure everything is consistent and correct. I also compare final numbers with forecasts and budgets, analyzing and following up on any major deviations as needed.

I was drawn to AKVA group for several reasons. First and foremost, the position itself was highly appealing—diverse and challenging tasks that aligned well with my background and experience. In five years, I see myself still working on exciting and meaningful tasks, surrounded by the same skilled colleagues, and contributing to a growing and ambitious company that continues to strengthen its position as a leader in the industry.
