AKVA group is prioritising Global Aqua in Lillestrøm as its main arena for engaging with fish farmers, partners and authorities.
“The industry is growing, and meeting places are evolving accordingly. We see a need to be present where we can best meet customers, partners and decision-makers,” says CCO Ståle Økland at AKVA group.
Global Aqua is more accessible for AKVA group’s international employees and customers, while its proximity to Oslo enables closer interaction with both media and the political environment. With a growing industry and a developing exhibition, this is considered an increasingly relevant arena. It is also seen as a better choice from a cost–benefit perspective, with lower overall costs.
AKVA group will use its participation to highlight technologies such as deep farming, post-smolt solutions and digital systems, as well as sustainability in the future of aquaculture.

“We will be present where we create the greatest value – both for ourselves and for our customers,” says Økland.
Global Aqua takes place at NOVA Spektrum in Lillestrøm, close to Oslo with strong connections to Oslo Airport and the rest of the country. The exhibition brings together stakeholders from across the aquaculture industry and will be held on 7–9 September 2027.
As part of this prioritisation, AKVA group has decided not to participate as an exhibitor at Aqua Nor in 2027.
