AKVA group has appointed Ole Kristian Sivertsen as the new CEO Digital. He succeeds CDO Asle Kjetil Bratteli, who is retiring this fall.
Sivertsen brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in the technology and digitalization sectors. Most recently as CEO of Desert Control, he guided the company through a stock exchange listing and international expansion, establishing operations in the Middle East and the United States. He has also held leadership positions at Global Eagle, Telenor MCP, Citrix Systems, and Sun Microsystems. His career combines digital transformation, global business development, and advancing sustainability through innovation.
Digitalization is one of AKVA group’s priorities moving forward. The company is developing solutions that enable a more efficient and sustainable aquaculture industry, with artificial intelligence (AI) playing an increasingly central role.
“I am excited to join AKVA group and contribute to the company’s digital strategy. Aquaculture is a key industry for future sustainable food production, and I see great opportunities in using technology to improve operations, efficiency, and fish welfare. My experience in leading growth and transformation in global technology companies – combined with a passion for sustainable innovation - will be valuable in further developing AKVA group’s digital solutions,” Sivertsen says.
