Helgeland Plast, owned by AKVA group, has been awarded Company of the Year at Gallaria, recognising its contribution to innovation, value creation and sustainable industrial development.

“This recognition means a lot to us. It reflects the long-term effort of our employees and our focus on developing robust, responsible solutions for the aquaculture industry. We are proud of what we have built together, and motivated to continue pushing technology forward,” says Freddy Bakken Braseth, General Manager of AKVA group Helgeland Plast.

The jury highlighted the company’s strong technological expertise, solid financial performance and long-term commitment to responsible business practices. Helgeland Plast was also recognised for advancing aquaculture technology, including solutions that support circularity, reduced climate impact and improved fish welfare.

Helgeland Plast develops and produces plastic-based solutions for the aquaculture industry, including floating collars and plastic components for fish farming pens, as well as the iconic Polarcirkel boats used as work and service vessels. In the jury’s justification, reference was also made to the Nautilus concept within AKVA group, which contributes to improved fish welfare.

The award confirms the company’s position as a key industrial player in the region, with increasing international relevance.
