Arnt-Magne Vollan is appointed new General Manager in AKVA group Land Based Norway at Sømna.
Vollan has several technical certificates in mechanics, and he also has education from the Army. For the past 11 years, he has worked in the car industry in various management positions.
“I am looking forward to starting in an exciting, innovative industry. I am very impressed with what has been created here at Sømna; the activity level is high, and we are positioned for further growth,” says Vollan.
Approximately 100 people work at Sømna. Vollan has a positive outlook for land-based fish farming.
“We see great growth in the post-smolt market in Norway, where the trend is to produce post-smolt up to 1000 grams on land. Full grow-out land-based fish farming is also a new segment that will increase activity in the business in the future,” Vollan says.
He will take on the position on January 1st, 2022.
