AKVA group was present - AquaVision 2016
AquaVision is a world-class aquaculture conference that attracts a diverse range of stakeholders and top level management to Stavanger every two years.
The conference is organised by Skretting and its parent company Nutreco. Since the founding of the conference in 1996, it has established itself as an important networking arena for some 400 participants from more than 40 countries. It is a visionary conference where the industry gets together to discuss megatrends, challenges and opportunities within the industry. The conference focuses on sustainability, innovation, the blue revolution, future demands and challenges within the industry, but also global challenges like population growth linked to world hunger and obesity. Several speakers posed Aquaculture as the most important if not the only sustainable solution to future demand for protein from food production in the future.
Previous years the conference has presented keynote speakers like Sir Bob Geldof and Kofi Annan discussing world hunger and encouraging growth in this sector. This is a testimony to the truly visionary intent with the conference – meeting the future tomorrow.
This year Trude Olafsen from AKVA group was one of the speakers in good company with other elite speakers like Professor in Strategic Management Jamie Anderson, Solveig van Nes from Bellona, Lord Sebastian Coe, CEO of Marine Harvest Alf-Helge Aarskog and Pellegrino Riccardi who was both the moderator and one of the speakers. It is an honor to be invited as one of the speakers here and it manifests AKVA group as an important game player within this industry. Innovation and Technology – a prerequisite for further growth was her title and she also used the opportunity to promote Atlantis. A prestigious ongoing AKVA group project. The response to Atlantis has been really good after the speech, and especially people from abroad has contacted Trude to get more insight into the project.
Full program and more information about the speakers and presentations is available on www.aquavision.org. If someone is interested in hearing more about Atlantis, they can contact Trude Olafsen on email@example.com
