Opened the doors to an exciting story
AKVA group is proud sponsor of The Salmon, a top modern visitor center at Tjuvholmen in Oslo, Norway, where students and the public are invited to learn more about salmon farming. The Salmon
was officially opened yesterday. The visitor center, which is built by Nova Sea with support from Alex Sushi entrepreneur Petter Sandberg, is telling the history of Norwegian fish farming and spreading knowledge about salmon and the fish farming industry in general.

AKVA group is proud sponsor of the center and have contributed to facilitate a miniature control room. Here, real-time video images are transferred from Nova Sea’s location at Træna in Nordland County, Norway, to give the audience an idea of how modern technology like cameras and sensors helps the farmer get the best possible understanding of the health and performance of the fish

The Salmon is open to the public all weekdays and Saturdays and entrance is free. In addition to several exciting and interactive displays, the visitor center also has a good selection of both modern and traditional salmon dishes.
