Ståle Økland, currently Group Director of Communications and ESG, will take on a new role in AKVA group as the company’s Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). He will play an important role in further developing the company’s strategy and commercial approach and will be responsible for leading the strategic marketing work. AKVA group is the world’s largest supplier of equipment and technology for aquaculture with headquarters in Klepp in Rogaland and offices in 11 countries.

Økland has been employed for four years at AKVA group. Previously, he has worked for more than 20 years in marketing, communications and politics, including as deputy mayor of Time municipality, senior advisor to the Conservative Party in the Norwegian Parliament as speechwriter for former Prime Minister Erna Solberg and author of seven books. In his new job at AKVA group, he will have a more senior role but will retain responsibility for communications and ESG.
