On Tuesday, June 9, the last fish from the second batch in Atlantis was delivered for harvesting at SinkabergHansen`s processing facility on Marøya. About 100,000 fish have been lowered to 30-40 meters since mid-February and we recently harvested a fish of about five kilos.
Now we are starting the work to analyze all data collected through this batch and the results from this will be published in a separate report.
Project manager Trude Olafsen can report that the growth has been good and that the fish have learned to use the dome.
“We are very pleased with the results so far, but as we said, we must have the opportunity to process the data and present them in a suitable way. We are now in the process of planning the next batch at an even more exposed site from the turn of the year 2020/21.”
