AKVA group will deliver a new barge model to Lovundlaks. This marks a new chapter in the long-standing cooperation between the two companies.

"Lovundlaks has long had a close and good cooperation with AKVA group. We wanted a barge that was primarily an efficient and solid feeding machine. Then, we worked on solutions for the safe handling of dead fish, silage, and acid at an exposed location. Choosing AC700R as our next barge was therefore a natural step forward," says CEO Jacob Palmer Meland at Lovundlaks.

The contract was signed at the beginning of March 2024, and concerns the delivery of the barge model AC700R - a further developed and cost-efficient model that builds on the success of previous models such as AC450 and AC650. The barge is designed to meet Lovundlaks' needs for remote operation, while also maintaining high quality and optimized performance.

Key Account Manager Jørn Sivertsen at AKVA group has played a central role throughout the bidding process and has maintained close dialogue with Lovundlaks.

"Our goal has always been to offer solutions that not only meet but exceed customer expectations. With the AC700R, and further development of this model done in cooperation with Lovundlaks, we believe we have taken a big step towards this goal," says Sivertsen.

The delivery of the barge is scheduled for Q1 2025.
