Imagine an everyday life where all the digital solutions you use exchange information with each other. Your production control system is automatically updated with feedings from the feed barge, the environmental values from sensors are available in insight and analysis tools, the status of the feedstock is automatically sent to your supplier and the feed receipt is registered in the same second as it is registered as delivered.

Perhaps you also have self-developed solutions that need information from AKVA fishtalk, AKVA connect or other business systems? This is our shared vision of the future, made possible by AKVA Fusion® - our digital platform which aims to transform the aquaculture industry's way of sharing and exploiting data.

Seamless integrations

AKVA Fusion® aims to connect all parts of the industry, the new and the old, and create a new standard for communication, control and data collection across platforms. Through AKVA Fusion®, we offer AKVA ecosystem, which is a set of APIs that enable seamless integrations across solutions in the industry. The APIs make it possible to integrate AKVA fishtalk and 4th generation AKVA connect with other digital solutions, whether they are supplied by AKVA group or come from other suppliers to the industry.

We follow some central principles for the development of the digital platform that forms the basis of the ecosystem:

  • Co-creation and user-driven development - the digital ecosystem requires close collaboration and a willingness to co-create good solutions to the tasks and challenges the industry is facing. It requires an increased degree of user-driven development, and that we are willing to test and experiment across solutions in the ecosystem.
  • Flexible development – if we are to succeed with continuous testing and development, it requires flexible development and continuous delivery as we create new functionality. In this way, we can deliver value to the players in the ecosystem more quickly.
  • Value creation - all players in an ecosystem must achieve value by being part of the ecosystem.
  • Trust – all players in an ecosystem must have trust in the digital platform, and in the security mechanisms in the digital platform. In addition to the security dimension, the players must have trust in each other and have good intentions by participating in the ecosystem.

Digital ecosystems stimulate the digitization of several processes that are driven by data and the automation of manual tasks. Digital ecosystems will stimulate renewal and innovation in the industry. We see other industries and players have gone down this path before us. We are now taking the next steps towards a digital everyday life in the aquaculture industry, and encourage people to actively take part in the digital ecosystem in the fish farming industry.
