By installing a battery pack in the barge you´ll get an environmentally friendly, economical and not least quiet primary energy source.

The batteries can be charged using onboard generators, onshore power or additional energy sources like solar panels and windmills. As a result, you will have a fully functional hybrid energy solution, enabling you to make a significant cut in costs related to power and generator maintenance.

Principal advantages

AKVA group feeding

  • 50 - 90% reduced generator time
  • Up to 60% reduced total diesel consumption, including barge operation
  • Up to 60% reduction in CO2 and NOX emissions
  • If you plan to hook up your barge to onshore power, you can use a smaller cable crosssection, thus reducing connection costs

AKVA Hybrid

We offer a complete battery pack, based on the same technoloy you will find in electric vehicles from e.g. Audi, BMW and Volkswagen
